The Challenge
Clarksons Platou faced challenges with design consistency and user experience across its suite of applications. Both existing and new projects required a revamp to improve the look and feel of mobile and web applications, ensuring they met user expectations and aligned with business goals.
Previous Approach
Before the redesign, the platform lacked a unified UX design, resulting in inconsistent tools and user flows. The software was used by employees, clients, and potential leads, but the varying design elements made it difficult to ensure a seamless experience across different user groups.
Impact of the Challenge
The Solution
As the Lead UX Designer, I was brought on board to audit the existing applications and design new solutions for both ongoing and upcoming projects. The solution involved:
- Consistency Across Platforms: I developed a UX strategy to enforce consistency across Clarksons Platou's mobile and web applications using a Style Guide.
- UI/UX Overhaul: The design focused on providing a cohesive user experience, introducing new concepts to transform business requirements into visual user interface design flows and user journeys.
- Cross-Device Design: I ensured that the solution worked seamlessly across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices, maintaining a unified experience for all users.
